Thank you for the kind review and for being part of the team. Hearing that the flexibility, culture, benefits, well-documented processes, and execution all land the way they are meant to means a lot, especially from someone in the Senior SEO Analyst seat doing the work day to day. The remote-only piece is a real tradeoff. We have leaned into flexibility because it lets us hire great people regardless of location, but I hear the point about missing the in-person camaraderie that comes with a shared workspace. We keep looking for ways to make virtual collaboration, team weeks, and offsites fill that gap in meaningful ways. On industry conferences, that is genuinely useful feedback. Representing our SEO and PPC work publicly, sharing case studies, and being more visible in the broader digital marketing community is good for the company and good for the team. Expect to see more of it. Thank you again for the recommendation and for the work you put in for our partner-clients every day. Cody Jensen Founder & CEO, Searchbloom

Pros

Smartest collective team you could hope to work with. There is a lot of support because everyone is so knowledgeable.

Cons

Remote work makes it tricky to develop a company culture, though this team does as good of a job as they can.

I appreciate you taking the time to share this. You’re right, the collective talent at Searchbloom is what makes this team exceptional. Collaboration and support have always been part of our DNA, and it’s great to hear that stood out during your time here. Remote work has definitely changed how culture is built, and we continue to invest in ways to stay connected through intentional communication, small group initiatives, and in-person team events. Thank you for helping shape that along the way and for contributing to the team while you were here.

Pros

- Great people. Genuinely so talented and caring, even if not in the same department. - Solid client list. - Remote flexibility cannot be beat. - Fun activities / prizes / benefits.

Cons

- Micromanaging about time tracking even when deliverables were completed. - Try and establish a sense of safety or comradery with you but will not have your back when you need it the most. - Passive aggressive management. Not sure if this is age or inexperience, but they will not give it to you straight (even when you're gone). - Not enough outward praise across departments. They seem to focus on a few who they like and keep highlighting them. - Shifting workload

Thank you for taking the time to share both the positives and the constructive feedback. The team, the remote flexibility, and our partner-client roster are things we genuinely care about, and it is meaningful to see them recognized. I want to address a few of the other points directly. On time tracking: hourly tracking is standard practice across most digital marketing agencies, not unique to Searchbloom. It is how we scope SEO, PPC, and ongoing optimization work accurately, allocate analyst capacity across partner-clients, and tie deliverables to actual effort and outcomes. It exists to protect both our partner-clients and the team, not to scrutinize individuals. On shifting workload: the nature of agency work means priorities adjust as partner-client needs evolve, new campaigns launch, and performance data dictates where attention is most valuable. We work to manage that with clear ownership and proactive communication, and your feedback is a useful reminder that we can keep improving how we signal those shifts. On leadership and feedback flow: I value candor, and we work to build a culture where direct conversations happen in both directions. When performance concerns are raised, they are guided by what is fair to the individual and to the rest of the team. Those conversations are difficult, and I recognize they are not always received the same way they are intended. We will continue working on how recognition and feedback move across departments. I am grateful for the time you spent at Searchbloom and the contributions you made. I wish you the very best in the next chapter of your career. Cody Jensen Founder & CEO, Searchbloom
