Pros

There wasn't any amazing things about working here. I mean the pay was good but that was about all! There were not any pros!!!!

Cons

Where to even start! This was a horrible experience! If I would have known this place was gonna be this bad, I would have never left my other job to come here. This company wants you to bombard members (customers) with all this extra stuff. For example if the member is calling to buy a washer/ dryer they want you to also sale washing detergent. If the member was calling in the buy a part they wanted you to offer a water filter, three extra parts, two essentials (cleaners deodorizes, etc), & then at the end of the call they wanted you to offer a free in home consultation for home improvements needs. What the company didn't realize is, product dumping all this on the customer was just making them mad! Then the main reason I QUIT. My manager was a....well that's not appropriate! Why are you going to take a manager position knowing that there is going to be sometimes where your gonna have a supervisor call if your not gonna want to take it! My manager refused to take a supervisor call. She would make us go back and forth with the member until the member was so mad and angry and frustrated before she would finally take the call. Then when the member said that the associate was rude she would write you up. I'm like the member just wanted to talk to a manager to begin with! The managers don't give a crap about you at all. At least at the Mobile, AL call center they don't. Then when your numbers were not where they we suppose to be for the day or if you were not meeting goals they would be very rude to you, they wouldn't even give you a chance to explain what's going on. Because again they don't care!!! They would just say rude things like there is not an excuse for numbers like these. I'm going back to listen to all your calls and if you are not offering on every call then you getting wrote up. Oh yeah did I mention that when the member called in mad as he'll about Sears' screw up they still wanted you to try to sale them stuff wtf!!!

Pros

Good team and good compensation

Cons

The contract is only for 30 days, so it needs to be renewed every month, and we always lose access during the process. This creates some uncertainty for us.

Pros

Working at Sears allowed us to develop strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills in a retail environment. We gained experience assisting customers, handling transactions, managing merchandise, and working as part of a team to meet sales and operational goals. The position also helped us improve time management, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude toward customers and coworkers.

Cons

One challenge of working at Sears was managing periods of high customer traffic, which could be stressful and demanding. We occasionally faced difficult customer interactions, changing sales expectations, and the need to balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Additionally, retail schedules often required evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, which could affect our work-life balance.
