Pros

Working at Seattle Credit Union comes with great benefits, including top-notch medical coverage and opportunities for cross-functional training.

Cons

Employees at Seattle Credit Union may experience frustration due to unclear direction from management, leading to confusion and inefficiency. Additionally, poor senior leadership can result in a lack of guidance and support for staff, making it difficult to thrive in the workplace. Furthermore, the lack of mirroring the company's core values can lead to a disconnect between employees and the organization's mission, causing a sense of disengagement and dissatisfaction among workers.

Thank you for your review and service to our mission as a manager. We appreciate you sharing the benefits of working at SCU and your thoughts on how leadership can do a better job of providing direction and communication. Leadership has been diligently working towards crafting and communicating our strategic plan through ongoing and transparent venues. Monthly reporting of our financials, business plan reviews, and transparent conversations with senior leadership (such as through town halls or various small-group meetings) allow employees at all levels to connect with leaders up to the executive team. We are pleased to see “communication” continue to improve in Employee Engagement Scores!

Pros

The senior team has a clear vision for the future. Management is empowered to do their job, The credit union staff are the most amazing and supportive staff I've ever worked with. There is lots of positive change happening which makes the future exciting. Remote positions available for work and life balance.

Cons

There are some working silos, but the credit union is actively working through this to hold more meetings and be more transparent about activities.

Pros

The benefits were fantastic during my time there. Some legitimately great people to work with across departments.

Cons

Broken culture. There is massive turn over. Management doesn't view people with empathy.
