Pros
Working here, I have found my place in a growing company that has welcomed me with open arms but provides me with constructive criticism in order to grow. They have pushed and challenged me to get the best out of me, which I appreciate and haven't received from other companies that I have worked with. Because of that, I have seen my skill set within promotional marketing increase significantly, from my communication skills and organization to my ability to execute a promotional marketing event and build genuine relationships with a variety of people, whether it's a team, management, our clients or the consumers.
By working with this group of ambitious individuals, I have been given the opportunity to be a part of that 7%, that top percentage which consists of entrepreneurs and business owners. Therefore, the opportunity must be earned and is not simply given.
Cons
My skill set has absolutely been tested. I found out I wasn't the top tier, do-anything, type of professional I thought I was. I wasn't as organized as I had been led to believe in the past. This is bitter-sweet as I am now truly gaining these skills to the level I thought they were at and need in order to be successful in the marketing and business world.
