Pros

We work in a complex and niche industry that helps other fellow startup employees. The startup equity problem is complex and perfect for problem solvers that are looking to be challenged on a day to day basis. There is immense satisfaction from helping our startup peers and it's very rewarding. The company culture is fantastic from the top on down. There is a heavy emphasis on hiring talented individuals, but better people. There are offices in San Francisco, New York, and Amsterdam. Being on the US side, it's been really fun interacting with colleagues in Amsterdam that come from all over the world. Everyone cares about the company mission and each other.

Cons

Working in different time zones can be challenging as you have to be flexible. The products we are building are incredibly complex so you need to be willing to get your hands dirty and learn.

Pros

- The culture is amazing. Mental and physical health of everyone are highly prioritized and productivity is qualified not quantified by the classic "9-5." Yes, you may find yourself working long hours sometimes, but that is the nature of any fast growing company. But that's because you want to do the work, not because you are being forced to. - Product-market fit is there and only getting better. Leadership really understands our space well, as well as the larger startup space. The latter is highly important to our growth. They understand both the long-term vision and the short-term needs and are great at balancing both without sacrificing one or the other. - It's truly a place where everyone has a voice, even as the company has doubled in less than a year. Have a great idea? Just speak up, and you'll be heard. Everyone from the CEO down is highly supportive and positive. It's a truly inclusive place.

Cons

Time zones can be tough (Mostly West Coast US and Europe) but it's not unusual and I've dealt with it before. Once you can figure out the nuances, it doesn't become a barrier, as long as you can handle some early mornings :)
