Pros

People love working here. The word that comes to mind when I'm sitting in meetings with my colleagues is "joy". Employees at Second Measure are valued, treated with respect, and given freedom and flexibility to get their jobs done but also live their life. It's a wonderful company culture filled with engaged employees who are kind and friendly to each other. The hiring process is lengthy because they hire not just smart people but good people who you'd want to spend time with outside of work (aka - no "jerks"). The product itself is a game-changer for clients - a lot of intelligence went into making it as smart and functional as it is. The company openly discusses diversity and the value of having a diverse workplace. It really feels like we're part of something unique, growing and fun.

Cons

San Mateo is actually pretty central on the Peninsula so it can work for folks coming from the South Bay or SF. However, an SF WeWork (or similar) would be nice. The age demographics of employees skew towards those in their 20s and 30s. Could look to increase the age diversity as well.

Pros

The people. I've never worked at a place filled with so many incredibly smart, kind, open, and friendly people. The work, and openness to innovation - I work on so many great projects, and the team is always so open to experimenting with new solutions, that it feels very collaborative in a really positive way. I've been given the freedom to work on what I feel is best and most important. Workplace perks - there's so much thought and care that goes into making sure that employees have what they need to get the job done. So much is done to make sure that the office feels comfortable, like a 2nd home, it makes the workplace very relaxed and welcoming. The opportunities - It feels like no matter what I wanted to go into in this organization, as long as I'm willing to put in the work and learn, that I would have the opportunity to do so.

Cons

I think some people may not like commuting to San Mateo, as it's a bit of a commute from the city. However, San Mateo is a really beautiful, much more relaxed city, so that may fit some people better than others.
