Great place to work, not well managed and ultimately won't make it - Software Developer Seeker Solutions Employee Review

- was not micromanaged - good latitude in what I worked on - company provided lots of opportunities for personal growth if you wanted them - work-life balance actually existed

- I had the sense that there were more politics than there should be in a company of ~75 staff - would have been nice to run a bit more lean to get product out in front of people for feedback more quickly - the doors closed on April 10, 2014...

The pay, benefits and perks at Seeker are great, and a lot of the people there are really wonderful to work with. It's a good place to hang out and make some decent cash for a little while before moving on.

Unfortunately, good pay and perks only go so far. The executive of the company have very little experience running staff, and this trickles down into a somewhat awkward work culture. They are very vocal about valuing transparency and honesty, yet any constructive criticism is viewed as a personal attack. I believe that they are doing their best, but their behaviour is often counter-productive to the actual work of the company.
