Pros
*They are trying to make things better with morale * more company events, lunches * they are completely renovating the space to be more modern and open * The people there are great * The average tenure of employees went from 15-20 years to about 5-10yrs as most of the senior management was let go after the acquisition. * although not clear after acuisition the working hours a week are 37,5hrs or 7,5 hrs a day * Vacation starts at 4 weeks * Plenty of sick days and personal days
Cons
* Although they are trying to increase the morale you still feel the bitterness. * They took away WFH on a weekly basis. * I was there for over a while and I was never sent on a training course or conference. I even asked for training and it was just kept in my development path and nothing happened. * After going to some interviews before finally leaving I realized I have really platoed or even taken steps back in my professional career in the process and the tools. * If you are looking to move up in a company, good luck.. there is no room for movement if you're in the engineering department. * Marketing seems to get all the focus and "privileged" treatment * working from home is unofficially allowed when really needed, but you get dirty looks and a lot of slack from upper management. * Random Emails from the CEO about role changes, people getting let go etc. Makes for a very unsettling time. * They are depending on people leaving to replace them with new hires so they don't have a comparison to what it was like before. * Benefits are subpar. no chiro, physio, vision, massage etc.
