Pros
Family-owned - Small company that cares about their workers. Even during the pandemic, they made swift accommodations to get people back to work and offered generous increases to support living expenses (I received a 12.5% increase at the time)
Management/Leadership - Similar to above, management is quite understanding and accommodating. They listen to your issues and try their best to help solve them.
Decent benefits - Pretty standard package
Networking - As a QA specialist, you get to connect with many practitioners on a day to day. One chiropractor in particular ended up becoming one of my references
Cons
Lacks culture - As someone who just graduated at the time, I was looking to make meaningful connections in the workplace, which I did not really get here. Majority sit at their cubicles with their heads down in their work. Even during office parties/catering, many will grab food from the kitchen and eat at their desks
Pay - Starting pay was quite low, considering cost of living here in Toronto. Especially low for those with families to support
Growth trajectory - Being a small company, there isn't much room to grow in your career here
