Pros

The small team of employees in the London office is great and supportive to each other. Which is necessary with how they are treated by the owner.

Cons

The owner of the company is psychologically abusive to staff, micro manages every aspects of the day to day of the team and tasks, removes all respect and autonomy from employees and overall behaves in an unacceptable way that creates an uncomfortable and controlling working environment. The gas-lighting behaviour is internal and external, including how the company operates and communicates to customers. A lot of greenwashing going on and there is zero real diversity and inclusion!

Pros

There’s not too many pros

Cons

They don’t care about the staff. I was evening shift and when I worked overtime on Saturdays they used to pay me the morning shift rate which is less. There’s no sick pay. They didn’t allow me to wear certain clothes but at the same time others were allowed to wear the same clothes( double standards). The management is poor, they’re constantly switching tasks which makes it difficult to work there. It’s very difficult to book holiday because the staff is reduced and they only allow a few people to be off work at the same time. We were not allowed to book half day holidays( even when we were not that busy) but at the same time office staff were allowed. They only care about customers and profit but not about the staff. I don’t recommend this place.

Pros

They allowed me to leave earlier than the 1-month notice period

Cons

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, there was absolutely no social distancing or concern for staff's wellbeing. They said that we were 'key workers' (we were just customer service agents and the company sold women's clothes) so we had to come in to the office, however some managers were allowed laptops to work from home. I was concerned for my own safety and started looking for a new job within my first few weeks at the company. The management style was suffocating - they were strangely concerned about employees stealing customer details and wouldn't let us have pens or wear clothes with pockets. Pay was terrible, particularly as they required foreign language skills. Every time we wanted to take annual leave, we had to get a manager to sign a piece of paper which explained the reason for taking the time off - it made me feel like a child. Working there for only a few months severely impacted my mental health - I would leave 0-star review if I could.
