Pros

When I think of one, I will come back and fill section this in.

Cons

It’s unfortunate, Sensei had the right people from the start to create an amazing company and culture. The CEO refers to himself as the “Innovator” he’s more like a narcissist on steroids. The best part about the situation over there is that the CEO is so lacking in people skills, and emotional intelligence that he doesn’t even realize when he is being out right rude and obnoxious. He surrounds himself by a team of “Yes Men”, there are no women on the so-called leadership team which is really just a way for the CEO to mask his own bad decisions. Now, that I’m gone, they are down to 2 women. I mean out of a company of 12, they are small potatoes. Here’s another great fact - the CEO does no factual planning when it comes to sales and expectations of the sales team. He also has no experience with marketing or customer service. If you think the customer is always wrong this is your place! Overall, the CEO leads the company by fear, he does not empower people do be their best. He boasts about having a staff that can self-manage. The funny thing is that he is the epidemy of a micro-manager, and wastes everyone’s time by not giving clear instructions from the start and then forces people re-do the same work over and over again. If you like to be degraded, demoralized, and beaten down on a daily basis you will fit right in here.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your opinion of Sensei Project Solutions. We certainly are not perfect, but we are always striving to improve. It’s unfortunate that you had personal conflict with the CEO. Several of us have worked with him for almost 10 years and more, and we feel quite good about his continually improving leadership of Sensei.

Pros

1. Nice company-branded clothing and cute trinkets. 2. Super capable and very sharp technical consultants. 3. Interesting clients with unique needs that provide daily challenges. 4. Top notch sales people who know how to sell. 5. Excellent business manager.

Cons

1. Work at Sensei is a never-ending round of hiring and firing/layoffs. The CEO routinely hires a bunch of new staff, only to lay them off or fire them later. It is a revolving door of employees coming and going constantly. 2. The CEO is a micro-managing narcissist. He does not trust his people to do the right thing; therefore, he is constantly meddling in the daily work of his staff. 3. The CEO treats his sales professionals very poorly. He does not have a marketing budget from which to generate leads for them, thus, setting them up for failure. He constantly threatens to fire his sales professionals, which leaves them in a constant demoralized state. 4. The CEO happily takes credit for the ideas and accomplishments of his staff, rather than giving them the credit they deserve. 5. Salaries are nowhere near to market rate for the skills and experience that this company requires.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your opinion of Sensei Project Solutions. I’m sorry that you seem to have a misunderstanding of employee satisfaction and turnover. In fact the average tenure of our current team is 7 years. We believe we have a great team who is fully committed to the vision of Sensei and is working well together to achieve it. And if you have some ideas for how our marketing budget can generate more leads, please pass it along. 😊
