Pros
Lovely colleagues; worked with efficient and nice people . The atmosphere was pretty chill and the team hangouts were fun. Personally, had opportunities to learn, grow specific skills. Also, enjoyed the transparency and sharing of knowledge with everyone in the company during monthly meeting so we all know where we stand as a company. Enjoyed the shadowing practice - shadowed different persons in different department to understand the company process/work flow better. I appreciated being able to speak up when necessary to my supervisor. Had an encouraging & positive time with the team.
Cons
It’s a growing company with a lot of potential so processes are still being set up. If you’re used to working in a larger company, the dynamic here may be surprising because you’ll need to pull your weight and communicate things effectively because there’ll be an obvious trickle down effect. Company summer hangouts reduced over the years, hopefully it’s brought back. If interested in a consistent work from home option , as of when I left (June 2021), this wasn’t feasible for the operations (Oakville) team- so take note. Unless it’s an emergency, my position was a work at the office type.
