The people here are being taken advantage of. The environment here is extremely manipulative. Everyone is forced to follow oddly strict company rules, for example you can not be over 1 minute late to a meeting. You will get demeaned for it. Even your computer is forced to show time down to the second and you're unable to change it. This is one of many strict policies.
All feedback is always extremely positive or extremely negative. It gives you the feeling of always being on a knife edge of not knowing if you're performing well enough to keep your job. You're forced to be overly obedient because they're looking for any shred of praise they can get. Something to give a sigh of relief to ensure you're not going to get fired.
There are a lot of similarities in how the company is run that are frightening similar to historical authoritarian leadership. The CEO is the only leader here. Literally no other manager in the company actually makes any decisions. I genuinely can't tell if the folks working here are nodding there heads to keep their jobs or truly blind to how much they're being taken advantage of.
There's also this odd focus of constantly talking about how the product exists to protect people. It's not. All it's doing is making wealthy financial institutions even more wealthy.
