Pros
I have worked for SCS for nearly 9 years - I live in Preston and work in the office in the city centre the majority of the time. There are lots of naysayers about Preston, it's people and the things we can offer but the city is a welcoming place with lots of things to do. All of this is echoed by SCS and the way it treats it's employees. Prior to working here I have worked for both much larger and much smaller organisations - it is rare that your voice can be heard so much in any organisation regardless of level of seniority, but at SCS they welcome feedback, criticism, ideas and conversations. This is an excellent example of the welcoming nature that runs throughout most of Lancashire. The business has won multiple awards both nationally and locally. I enjoy working here and always feel valued. The nature of the recruitment sector means you need to be hardworking and have the ability to deal with disappointments that are out of your control - the company supports with this but the onus is on the individual to be able to cope with the demands of the role.
Cons
The company needs to continue it's improvements with internal communication, they have made big strides in this area and it is to their credit that they have listened to feedback in this area.
