I have been working as an educator at Shaw Academy for 2 years. In that time I have developed courses in my subject of knowledge and educated over 40,000 students globally. I have had exciting opportunities such as being interviewed by a radio station in the USA and have educated some very well-known people across the globe. As the demand for more courses grew, I became the Head of a department and now manage a team of educators and support staff. It is without a doubt the most challenging yet rewarding role I have ever had. Being an educator at Shaw Academy is exciting as you never know what opportunities will come your way. The salary is really great but the biggest pro is professional development and having complete control over the success of your course and possibly leading a department. The outstanding feedback from students definitely makes everything worth it.
Cons
As the company is growing at a rapid rate there is a lot expected from every employee. The success of your course will depend on the work you put in. Being efficient is definitely required!

Thanks for sharing your experience, It's great to hear your time at Shaw Academy has been rewarding and so positive. We appreciate all the hard work that has been done to get us to this juncture. We're always interested to hear how we can continue to improve.
I'm glad I have colleagues here who were helpful and supportive.
Cons
I'd never forget my working experience here at Shaw Academy. It was the worst experience I had in my entire career. A whole day is definitely not enough for the amount of work that you need to accomplish. There's no work-life balance because all you'll be able to do in your life is to work. It was the most exhausting times of my life and looking back, I wished I quit earlier and didn't have to suffer longer.

Pros
Teaching what you love is probably the only good thing there.
Cons
Management. Sell or you are fired. Unrealistic working hours. Mass firing and people leaving the office like it was an exodus of people.
