Pros
Has a great history and legacy, there are good people there who genuinely care about others and are kind. In fact, some of the nicest people work for Shea. Benefits are good. I have been given the opportunity to work both in the corporate office and on job sites which is rare in Development. The C-Suite is top notch.
Cons
The corporate office (in California) can get pretty uncomfortable. People in high positions actively voice political opinions and make "off the cuff jokes" about women / minorities / millennials. There is zero diversity and inclusion effort. In fact, i've been in all-company meetings where i've left shocked at the behavior of leaders - but the company is small(ish) so you can't really speak up because you feel like the minority. It has a very old-school vibe.
