Pros
New building, new equipment, fully stocked material management, low patient to nurse ratio 1:6. And each nurse has a nurse tech (CNA)! Not a skilled nursing facility. No residents. Opportunities to further your education with $10,000 to 15,000 /yr education reimbursement. The company has grand plans for growth in the area. The land around the hospital is owned by SAI and expansion is in the future.
Cons
Always short staffed (still not as short as other places), patients often are too sick to perform rehab. SAI is often mistaken for a SNF. No Emergency services; this means 911 needs to be called to transport the patients in case of emergency. Although, Staff is ACLS cert and doctors and residents available 24/7. The staff is spoiled and whiny. Pay is less than average and raises SUCK, average is .50-.60 ¢ a year. Not keeping up with inflation.
