Pros

Lots of training, great people, meaningful work.

Cons

Increasingly becoming more "big law" culture rather than the lifestyle firm it used to be.

Pros

Great learning environment for gaining software skills.

Cons

Support at Sheppard needs a total restructure and reorganization to match Sheppard’s new brand.

Pros

Market pay. Toxic/mean/ unreasonable people are generally few and far between. Reasonably transparent partner track.

Cons

Uncommunicative partners. Also, firm has traditionally sold itself as a 'lifestyle' firm (relative to other big law), but recently there is a concerted push to be like a Latham/Cravath. Leadership is constantly hounding associates to bill more. There is also word of moving 3 day in-office requirement to 4 days.
