Pros

- Great team of young, like-minded, talented creatives - Work-from-home setup - Work culture isn't too uptight - Interesting clients. Work itself offers lots of room for creative freedom and thinking - Occasional work hangouts

Cons

- No work contract which itself is risky for employees. Employment terms aren't clearly defined such as notice periods, leaves, holiday entitlements etc. - Unfair dismissal as experienced by former employees (see: no contract) - Poor leadership, all-over-the-place, autocratic management - The company is still leaning heavily towards a start-up culture. - Lack of accountability, overbearing, overpromising, and untrustworthy CEO - Except for government mandatory benefits, substantial company benefits are NON-EXISTENT - Understaffed team, the company isn't willing to expand or invest in its creatives which leads to burnout and unspoken resentment - Not many opportunities for growth, lack of profit-based or performance bonuses

Pros

I’ve been working as a part-time and freelance designer at simmer and have had the opportunity to collaborate with the simmer team on some really great projects and brands. I’ve also had a positive working relationship with ms. RK so I was honestly surprised to see negative reviews here, especially because no one has left the company in the past two years that I am here. From my perspective, and definitely with simmer's regulars employees, the work environment has been supportive and stable. One thing I really appreciate is the level of trust given to designers, especially in my setup, I guess. There’s flexibility in terms of working hours, which makes it easier to balance other commitments while still contributing meaningfully to projects.

Cons

I haven’t personally experienced any major downsides so far. The flexibility in scheduling has worked really well for me. But also some brands do have an NDA so you can't post about it online, but I believe it's normal.

Pros

- Had a great time working with my seniors and co-interns. - Remote working with flexible working hours. - Learned a lot and seniors taught and inspired me to learn more about Adobe Creative Suite

Cons

- As an outsider looking in, it seems like their branding side had a lot of micro-management problems. - Travel expenses are not reimbursed. - Though online, office politics seemed... weird. - No contracts, no HR. Heard there are no benefits as well.
