Pros

- Casual work environment, no need to wear a suit, although I usually did wear a button shirt - Understanding management when it came to flex hours and my family needs - Supported me exploring technical education and knowledge (conference attendance) - The team is willing to share knowledge and help each other learn - If you are confident that new software and resources can improve the business, management is willing to support and give it a try - lunch and learns, and the occasional paired programming moments - Toronto location was located near a decent variety of restaurants - it was a great place for me to start my development career

Cons

- there aren't really many cons from what I've experienced - pre-covid, parking\transit to the Toronto office was a challenge, especially being close to a high construction zone - Like many businesses in the process of growing, internal processes are occasionally under review and improving them were perhaps not always at the pace I would have liked

Pros

- Supportive team & management. - Great clients, providing experience with a wide range of industries, challenges, and needs. - Ability to work on and hone lots of different skills across various projects. - No micromanaging, supportive of personal interests and needs as long as you're committed to success. - Amazing work/life balance that is hard to find in an agency setting.

Cons

- Not many that are unique to the company. - Hard industry to find your footing in if you're not committed to success and willing to work hard, but if you're reliable then your efforts are recognized and rewarded. - Roles can require you to wear many hats and best practices are always changing so you have to be willing to learn and adapt with the changing scenery. - Can be hard at times to adapt to remote work post-Covid, so maintaining communications can be a challenge to some.
