Pros

Made some great contacts there, enjoyed some of the staff a lot. The sales floor was high energy (but completely inappropriate most of the time). The gym was convenient.

Cons

Where to even start? The CEO is cracked out on caffeine and doesn't seem to understand that not everyone is okay with dedicating 100% of their time to his wealth. He doesn't seem to have a grasp on reality and how to help his employees when they ask for it. He's a genius at what he does, but not at managing people. His direct subordinates are sexist men, one often saying extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable things to women at the work place. One of the others can't understand complicated concepts and you have to basically speak like a child. All of these people are 100% focused on their work and seem to have no real life outside of it. It's an unsustainable work/life balance and if you're not willing to work the way they do, they'll fire you... or if you leave, they'll berate you for learning new skills from them and taking those skills elsewhere. I witnessed tons of drug use AT the workplace, sexual harassment, and relentless gossip and negativity.

Pros

Young fun culture! . A very dynamic work environment with very smart people. The company is growing very fast which makes every day at the office different and challenging

Cons

Currently SPS is in that awkward stage where our growing pains starting to show. I definitely don't feel as confident about the business as I did at the beginning of 2015. We have also seen a lot of really great, smart people leave the org over the last 6 months and that can be disconcerting for the team. Business communication and direction is not always clear which creates another level of uncertainty. There are currently tenured employees who juggle multiple roles however struggle with meeting or exceeding one task. It is now time to reassess roles and proper job fit to ensure the continued growth of the company. Overall these cons are pretty expected in a startup.
