Pros

Compared to a Fortune 500 company, you can really get to know the people and teams you'll work with. Skyline isn't a faceless monolith and one doesn't get bogged down in miles of red tape. Skyline has a culture of excellence. Everyone wants to do their jobs well. It's very motivating to be around. Skyline has a strong focus on work life balance. 60 hour weeks aren't a thing here. Skyline has great support for remote work and the provided computer hardware is top of the line. Skyline is financially stable, privately owned with no VC backing. The company runs based on what's good for long term success, not the whims and demands of the stock market. Skyline's mission is all about modernizing public safety infrastructure and systems. It's nice to do work that feels like it's helping society. Skyline gives humanitarian leave every year so you can volunteer for meaningful causes.

Cons

Some devops processes are currently maturing with some attendant minor growth pains. The VPN is slow sometimes.

Pros

What I value most about Skyline is knowing that my work serves a meaningful purpose. From a moral standpoint, it’s fulfilling to contribute to solutions that genuinely help keep the public safe. Unlike some federal contracting work where resources can feel disconnected from everyday impact, the work we do at Skyline has a clear and positive effect on communities. That’s something all Skyliners can be proud of. Skyline also has a strong, supportive culture and genuinely cares about its employees. Over the years, I’ve been given numerous opportunities to grow through promotions as well as the ability to move between teams, which has helped me continuously learn and develop professionally.

Cons

Pay can be low compare to industry standard, however, I believe Skyline is aware and addressing this.
