Pros

IMO there are two pros only to working at SHG: Franchise IP & Great Talent The IP you work on is Call of Duty and it's the most recognized and profitable console video game Franchise in the world. There is a lot of intangible value working on a title like this. Because of the IP - SHG seeks and finds great talent - great talent generally means the product will be great.

Cons

SHG is a director & ego driven culture - the office is run by a group of "boys" who have worked together for 15+ years. Most of the directors (although talented) have very big egos and value their "Veto power". Quality is important to them, however teamwork and collaboration isn't. They care primarily about their power and their bonuses. Notice I say "their" bonuses - yeah, they care little about their employees, and their employees know it, and privately despise them for it. It is a boiling pot there. Stress is high. They work hard and management pushes them to labor very long hours including weekends. One of the causes of them working such long hours is they do not know what they want so they constantly redesign the game. They also don't know what they want when they hire employees. Their kitchen is usually a mess fully of dirty dishes. It's often impossible to find utensils or reusable cups for tea, coffee or water and they do not provide paper cups or plastic utensils. SHG is cut-throat and lacks true leadership.

Great franchise. Great coworkers. Easy to collaborate with other teams. Everyone wants to do what's best for the project.

Cons

Limited new ideas. Other sister studios aren't as easy to work with.
