Pros
Excellent work-life balance, no unrealistic deadlines or after-hours pressure. The team environment is genuinely healthy, people collaborate well and there’s no toxic politics. Management actually listens and cares about employees as people, not just output. If you bring ideas to the table, they’re heard and taken seriously.
Cons
Career progression is possible, but you have to advocate for yourself. It’s rarely offered proactively. If you push for a promotion or raise, the willingness is there. But if you stay quiet, your role and salary will simply stay where they are. After any initial growth, things tend to stall fast, raises shrink year over year and there’s no clear path to the next level. Over time, your compensation will fall behind market rates without you even realizing it.
