Pros
A lot of the best and most passionate people you will ever work with. Fully remote work. Great way to learn about and work in the international development sector within the comfort of your home. Some flexibility in working hours and you will never be expected to work on a weekend or after hours unless you're in a lead role and it's really urgent, which is rare. Some cool benefits like a wellness fund and profit sharing. Decent opportunities for career growth (promotions can happen in 8-24 months, depending on the role).
Cons
Work can get quite technical and client-centric, at times. There are hardly any lean seasons. Some weekly client calls will be in the early morning or late evening. Pay is pretty good compared to other development work / local nonprofits, but not as high as one might get doing similar level of work for an international NGO. Good salary increases usually only come during promotions.
