Pros

Having worked at a few SaaS companies before arriving at Socialbakers, I'm most impressed with the direction this company is heading. They have experienced industry experts leading all aspects of the company (finance, operations, sales, HR, marketing, product). The software basically sells itself, and was managing to grow market share in the US despite not having the most hard-working sales team. Since last year, the team has turned around under some new local management, and is experiencing insane growth for this market. The team is hungry and eager to make their impact in the space, and with a world-class technology to sell, the sky is the limit. I truly can't speak positively enough about the opportunity. Things have really come together, and now is as good a time as any to jump aboard, because the people that start now will be privy to some incredible opportunities down the road, within the company or otherwise.

Cons

Working in the US, where there's a 6 hour time difference between us and HQ, it can be frustrating at times not having local support or engineers to help out with urgent requests/questions. Also, with offices all across the world, I'd say there's a lot of communication between each office and HQ, but not much synergy between each of the other offices. The only other thing is that I do feel the Product team can be a bit headstrong at times, and at times, hellbent on their own mission, as opposed to taking product requests from the sales team into more consideration.

Thank you for your time to give us feedback, we are happy to hear about your experience with Socialbakers and how much you have enjoyed the opportunity being part of our USA winning team spirit! We have been aware that working in a global set up, with local presence on all continents can cause some challenges in synergies and we have been trying to address it by conducting global meetings and calls to keep good connections between colleagues, enabling best practice sharing as well as by deploying some of the central resources into regions. Hiring great talent remains to be our top priority as well as investment into personal development of our top performers. We want to see people grow and move on in their careers within the company. Keep up your great spirit and we look forward to many more exciting years together!

Pros

Innovation is at the core of Socialbakers. They pride themselves on helping marketers be successful in their role and so they've created a SAAS platform that is best in class. The North American market is growing so it is a fast-paced environment. The company is investing a lot of resources in the NA market which is great as it was lacking in the past. The people in the NY office is wonderful. The Senior folks are always available to help and provide insight on the product, client or process. You will get to go to Prague sometime during your tenure! The company is going through a lot of growth so if you become a superstar you'll get promoted. Truly a company that allows for work life balance.

Cons

HQ is based in Prague so time difference create challenging exchanges varied from time delay to feeling siloed. Transparency from Leadership is just beginning to happen but was non-existent for some time. Onboarding is lacking, there are webinars and videos you join but not a set education program. Definitely is the life of a scale up. (Also, this is being created so that's exciting).
