Pros

One of the best reasons to work in the hotel is the service charge. It is really something that everyone is looking forward every pay day. And yes, SC is overwhelming here specially during peak seasons. Aside from that, they offer free meals and uniforms. Another good thing here is they are pro employees. They have union for rank and file and supervisor roles. They have great culture. It’s more like family here.

Cons

The basic pay is low, even for supervisory and managerial positions. They don’t provide much formal training. And sometimes, they have issues on shortage of staff particularly during busy times. Most staffs are required to multitask and have unpaid overtime. And main priority for career advancement like promotions are based on seniority, not much on performance.

Pros

If you’re looking to push the absolute threshold of your mental health and see how much gaslighting you can endure on any given day, this is the place for you! It is truly a masterclass in psychological endurance—especially if you have any sort of family responsibilities or personal obligations outside of work.

Cons

For a company whose defining ethos is built on providing 'heartfelt care,' they sure do an interesting job of abandoning their explicit employee promise to ensure teams 'Enjoy & Feel Valued' the moment they manage to completely invert those words the moment an employee faces real-world challenges, substituting empathy with hostile isolation replacing support with systemic marginalization and retaliatory conduct.
