Thank you so much for the 5 star review, and being a SofterWare employee for over 10 years! That in itself speaks directly to your Pro comment about SofterWare being a great place to work with a great culture. Regarding your “Cons”, after Covid, we planned to have everyone come back to the office, but we never had more than a few people to come in. After seeing our business success continue with most people working remotely, the company decided that rather than force people to return, we would embrace the staff’s choice to work from home. There are definitely pros and cons that come with this. For example, we were able to hire across North America, which greatly enhanced our ability to hire the best people. To make up for not seeing each other in person, and all the benefits that come with that, the company gets together once a year for an all-hands meeting. Managers get together live twice a year, and each department gets to decide how often they want to meet in-person. We also have ways to get together virtually, such as a company-wide presentation of department updates every second Friday of the month, quarterly social events, tools to share interests online such as themed Slack channels, and more. We’re always open to ways to further those connections, so please be sure to share any ideas you have with your manager. Thanks again for your great feedback! Sincerely, Lauren Sheehan, President

Pros

Excellent positive company culture that values work life balance and transparency. Even as an intern they immediately let me know what the different positions earned at my first 1-on-1. Despite only being an intern, I always felt respected and that people cared about what I had to say during meetings and when giving critiques.

Cons

Only con I can think of is that if you don't like being fully remote then this won't be the company for you
