Pros
Expanded my knowledge of cannabis, market and community with some help. The ability to truly help someone with their physical or psychological issues. Tips are a plus but that's from the community, not from the company.
Cons
We all received information about 90 day reviews after joining, which would include the prospect of benefits and full time. (that never happened and managers lied to our face saying they never said that) Where's the integrity? Everything trickles down to the retail team who isn't even well equipped to handle many transactions throughout a shift. (Terrible ATMs, faulty internet, and consistent problems on the retail floor out of the Budtender's power) Management is far from ideal.. Felt like a high school reunion where most of the higher ups would hold grudges for simple criticism. Miscommunication from management across the board which would directly affect morale. Some of the best employees were consistently shown no value in the workplace and most of new management were there to push out the best employees that crafted Solar what it is today. Their google reviews are all about customer service that came from BUDTENDING, any bad reviews are on subpar products from yet again a poor management team. We had females running our operation for inventory (they even helped us transition to a new sales program) that weren't appreciated whatsoever. Over two years I've seen some of the finest employees in a very new industry get pushed out of the jobs they wanted to develop into careers. Their covid response was well aligned with our counrty's response.. a big yikes. We were understaffed to the point where higher ups said it was ok to have no security in the building... two employees left after getting Covid because of their lack of humanity in response to that as well. We finally received products for free ...during holidays and it was expired product. Consistent gaslighting from management with as I said many times, no actual value being brought to their backbone of employees. Medical operations which should value the patient existed for a moment in time and the company decided against renewing their license to help medicinal patients. Budtenders had to explain to patients why the company didn't care for medical patients anymore. They also had to explain why the CEO thought it was a good idea to use imagery not subjected to approval within a *9 million dollar lawsuit*, but employees get written up for being a MINUTE late, written up for small discrepancies not amounting to millions, small mistakes (in a new industry that's discovering its regulation) I could seriously go on and on about cons, but i believe this is enough of scratching the surface that is now SOLAR CANNABIS CO.. you can change your name but not who you truly are. GREAT SUCCESS
