Company blows with the wind and lacks strategy
Has senior executive and board that don't have any EPC or O&M experience. Hence lack of process, lack of strategy and poor results.
Invests almost nothing into its staff.

The company was founded with a positive mission and the core spirit is still evident in its culture today. It's great to have a good reason to get out of bed in the morning.

- There's a future in renewables and Solarcentury is well placed strategically
Cons
The renewables industry is ever changing and the company continues to adapt and evolve; there is certainly a great level of core stability but some teams may grow or shrink as a response to market changes. Do not expect any two years to be the same!

Laid back environment to work in, friendly and positive. You are surrounded by very skilled and motivated colleagues from whom you can learn a lot, even if the company does not actively provide you with any training. The commercial team works in some of the best PV projects worldwide.
Cons
Terrible communication from top management, it seems the Company wants to have a flat hierarchy but most of the time it just results in chaos and contradictory choices. The vision is not clear, roles and responsibilities are left to interpretation. Not many career perspectives, it seems most jobs are temporary even with a permanent contract, the company prefers to constantly hire new people rather than re-train those who were made redundant. I wouldn't reccomend to work in the residential business.

Thank you for the review, I will review our communication. The flatter structure allows for agility, but I appreciate as we grow we always review this. We take employees' career development very seriously and do look to develop people, it is unfortunate that occasionally we don't meet all expectations.
