Pros

The people at Solidus are sharp and collaborative, and the work environment pushes you to think and solve real problems. The challenges are interesting—everything from blockchain and cryptography to trading, data, machine learning, and AI agents. You get exposure to a lot of different ideas, technologies, and markets. If you’re into startups, entrepreneurship, and solving tough problems, this is a place to seriously consider.

Cons

You need some interest in trading or compliance to really get into the work. It’s not something unique to Solidus—it’s just the space they’re in. You can pick it up if you’re curious and willing to learn, but if the subject doesn’t click for you, it might not feel like the right fit.

Pros

Solidus is at the cutting edge of an industry poised to explode in 2025. Leadership gets their hands dirty, are down to earth, and have high expectations. Colleagues help one another to a degree I found (pleasantly) surprising compared to my traditional background in finance. Health benefits are excellent.

Cons

Cons were not related to Solidus but stomaching the volatility of the digital assets industry 2021-2024.

Pros

If you can do the job, it is yours. Taking the initiative gets noticed by the leadership and gets support from across the organization. Flexible in-office and work-from-home. It has a very open culture and a relatively flat organization. Product is improving, which makes my job easier and more exciting. Value to the customer is at the center of the culture. Everyone pushes for the same objective.

Cons

It can be a lot of new domains to learn initially if you do not have the background. Learning and support is available for the new hire. But teams are distributed so you do not get to meet in person as you would in an office environment. Have to be proactive to build relationships in the organization.
