Pros

I have been working with Solvista Health for almost 10 years now. The organization is very dedicated to providing staff with support and resources to do their best in doing this meaningful work. The organization's work culture is overall very healthy currently. I also appreciate the open communication and involvement of the upper leadership to connect with the rest of the organization. The organization is composed of many individuals who feel passionate about helping others and improving quality of life for those in our communities.

Cons

Community mental health is a very challenging field as things are constantly changing from state direction on the way things are performed, reported out on and maintained. These frequent paradigm shifts can require a level of adaptability and dynamism that can be very demanding.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we’re grateful for your thoughtful feedback. We're especially glad to hear that you value the benefits, wellness initiatives, work/life balance, and growth opportunities we strive to provide. Making a difference in our community is at the heart of what we do, and it’s clear you share that passion. We also appreciate your candid input regarding compensation. We understand that rural community mental health work presents unique financial challenges, and your suggestion about reinstating the 3% cost-of-living adjustment is both thoughtful and valid. Leadership is actively reviewing compensation strategies to better support and retain our talented team, and feedback like yours is an important part of those conversations. Thank you again for your dedication and the impact you make every day.

Pros

This was actually a job I really enjoyed. Loved traveling & being out and about in the community. Appreciated that I wasn't micromanaged. I made daily efforts to connect with co-workers and was clear about my passion and career intentions.

Cons

After I became ill and had to leave, I was taken aback by the lack of response from co-workers I had worked to build a rapport with. With the exception of one or two kind folks, nobody else would get back to me. I was told that no one except HR could give me a reference. So essentially, I lose my job to no fault of my own, but can't get another one bc I can't get references? Seems fair. Simply put, I lost everything: my housing, my job, my health and my career plans. I literally almost died. And I'm not asking for pity, but I think providing a simple JOB REFERENCE for someone in that circumstance is a basic courtesy that most decent humans would be happy to do. Ironic that you work serving the community, providing resources for others, but when you need some help, you're ghosted. Additionally, I dealt with condescending and ageist comments from an insecure colleague who felt compelled to insult me. Also, please be mindful of your health and any changes to it if you work in this building. I was also preyed on due to my vulnerability at the time, so I would advise against friendships or relationships with colleagues, as there are unstable, predatory types in this environment. Lesson learned.
