Reputation for Best Products in Industry; Good Place to Work - Digital Radiography & Ultrasound Sales Sound Technologies Employee Review

Pros

Best imaging products in the veterinary industry; great reputation with vets. In sales, a lot of autonomy and uncapped commissions. In sales, depending on position, a comfortable car allowance with all gas paid or a company car with all gas paid. Decent base salary with commissions and some bonus opportunities. Comp well into six figures. Benefits are relatively expensive, but the coverage is very good with multiple coverage options based on your needs. Lots of trade shows, inside sales and marketing efforts to increase sales. For non-sales, the office in Carlsbad is great with an indoor basketball court and a dog-friendly atmosphere. Many of the animals featured in advertising belong to employees.

Cons

The company has been a subsidiary of VCA. In 2017, VCA elected to sell itself and all subsidiaries to Mars, Inc. This created a lot of change in positions, definition of duties, etc. There are more changes to come in 2019, as there are too many overlapping positions in certain areas. Although being owned by Mars is a good thing in the long run, it has been challenging the past year or so.

Room for improvement in the operations strategy and how the business gets done. Communication from Sr. Leadership could improve.
