Pros
Pay is more than minimum wage
Cons
I don't even know where to begin... The ancient time card puncher is four minutes fast so if you clock in at 8am, the time card shows 8:04. If you try to compensate for that and punch out at 4:04pm you will not be paid for those 4 minutes. The person in charge is absolutely NOT approachable. They speak to their employees condescendingly and has a very old school mindset. They do not welcome technology as in they want paper reports on their desk at the end of each shift, they want a time off sheet form submitted after every absence, doesn't want email confirmation - only verbal. Doesn't like to be challenged when one of their contradictory statements is addressed. There are individual coaching done in front of everyone during staff meetings. There has been several times employees have been accused in front of others of faking being sick to go to a job interview. There is ZERO HRIS. Systems errors happen weekly. The culture here is non-existent. It's always tense coming into work. No social events. On my first day I realized that people were actually afraid of the boss to the point that they were scared to ask for necessary office supplies. When the boss is approached with time sensitive documents to sign (e.g payroll deadlines) the response is: "Not now", "I'm busy". Minimal room for growth. There is literally just the coordinator positions and above that is the Director. There has also been evidence of ageist and sexist remarks towards staffing and as well as our standards in hiring for PSWs and RPNs/RNs. It is really uncomfortable. I'd only suggest working here if you want the title of "Coordinator" on your resume and use it for the experience then skip out of there before you lose your sanity.
