Pros
- Little to no supervision - Ability to patrol at your own pace - Ability to socialize with your coworkers and the people you're protecting - Ability to "set your own schedule" in terms of breaks/lunches - Relaxed environment
Cons
- Management needs some serious lookover as they'll side with the guests over their own employees - Purely customer service oriented, I wouldn't consider it Security work at all - No loss prevention in my location, you cannot hold, nor arrest anyone for anything - Constant changes in how the work is done, one day it'll be this way, next day it'll be this way, and then it'll go back and management will deny any changes - Long hours (it's security so no surprise there - Typically 10 to 12 hour days)
