Pros

One of the better managed non-profits I've worked at. Many supervisory staff have been with the organization for a long time. People are clearly passionate about the mission.

Cons

Low pay. Early response to the pandemic was very slow and suboptimal. Administrative staff who could easily have worked from home were still sometimes required to work in person.

Pros

I got to help others all day. Working with people with some of the same issues I have in my life was overwhelming in all the best ways. If you could fly under the radar, then you could have a long career of never getting promoted but continuing your labor of love.

Cons

Bullies, cliques, bullies within the cliques, everyone is having sex with everyone, if you're shy you are have an attitude problem, if you're tired you're high. Hypocritical. No matter how many GLOWING reviews my supervisor received from other program leaders or other organization directors about me, i messed up on a couple things and i was bullied out of there. I lost my best friend bc he let work become more important than a 4 year friendship. I tried my best. I loved it. I asked for support but was left to fend for myself.
