Pros

-Benefits for full time employees (PTO, health/vision/dental insurance) -Most weekends off That's it.

Cons

-Aesthetics are valued over production and quality -Most of management (as well as the owners) work in a building two blocks down the street, completely disconnected from the production floor. As a result, they are horrifically out of the loop when it comes to day to day happenings in the production building, despite what they may tell you. -Junior management is only moderately useful, and one of them is a complete idiot who I highly doubt has any prior management experience. Problems brought to junior management are usually dealt with in an extremely slow (days, not hours) fashion, if they're dealt with at all. - Regardless of if you are full time or part time, any request for time off longer than two days must be submitted a full month in advance. This is absolutely asinine to ask of college students that work 25 hours a week and are given no sort of employment benefits. - Some employees are given preferential treatment over others, despite making constant mistakes, due to junior management's opinions on them outside of work. - Employee morale as a whole is ridiculously low, and most non management employees simply see Southtree as a means to an end. During my time there, the number of people I would here talking about looking for other work during the course of a week was entirely too high. -Despite putting up a facade of treating each customer item with care, customer items are lost daily, creating a frantic search to find them in the production plant.

Pros

The pay was good, the people were friendly. And I learned a lot. Music. Coffee.

Cons

Angry people you have to talk to and they can be pretty nasty.

Pros

A job if you need something temporary Unlimited Coffee Some coworkers made the experience bearable

Cons

No Growth Opportunities – If you’re looking for a long-term career, this is not the place. Advancement was rare, and professional development was not a priority. Lack of Respect & Accountability – Customer items were sometimes lost with little regard, and employees had to deal with the aftermath with little support. Disconnected Management – Upper management felt like a clique, keeping themselves physically and professionally separate from the rest of the employees. Company Culture Misrepresentation – While it marketed itself as a modern startup, it lacked innovation, fair policies, and genuine leadership. Not Family-Friendly – Policies, at least at the time, were not supportive of employees with children or personal obligations.
