Pros
working in media is great if you are in the right company and spark foundry has some of these benefits as they are part of wider publicis groupe - this includes training (if you can ever find the time), a commitment to wellness and a very good social aspect and culture amongst peers.
Cons
The majority of staff are under paid and under valued whilst some select members (who happen to be cis gender, straight, white, middle class males) are promoted time and time again. In addition, it has become obvious that there is a very cliquey nature of the senior leadership where certain teams or colleagues are prioritised over others whilst others are ignored sometimes completely. This is widespread and as such the turnover is huge, resulting in widespread lack of staff and a toxic workplace culture of working late and expecting the same of others. There is also clear knowledge gap amongst some teams where there is no room for adequate learning and training as some people are promoted above their level or new people start, which puts even more pressure on existing employees. At times it feels unbearable working here.
