Pros

+ Freedom of work-related decisions + Freedom of managing own working time + Very nice colleagues + A lot of company events and get togethers

Cons

- This might be great for others but it was not great for me personally: At Speakap people work mostly remotely. There were not many people at the office when I went to the office.

Pros

My favorite thing about Speakap was my team. From day 1 I felt included and whenever I’d have suggestions, ideas, feedback or questions I felt there was always room for them to be heard. My team lead was an amazing person and professional, someone to look up to, who was very inspiring. Overall people are very very nice and friendly there, and they create a really good work environment. The company culture is also really cool, fun and focused on work-life balance. I really enjoyed my time there and learned a lot. The culture crew also organizes really fun events and every month there’s a Thursday evening of drinks and games at the office. And speaking of the office: it’s a really cool place, with videogames, a pool table, ping pong, snacks and drinks and ergonomic desks and chairs. Plus everything is nicely decorated and with air purifying plants. I genuinely enjoyed going to the office.

Cons

The only cons I found at speakap were, on the one hand, the fact that the HR team is BY FAR the most underapreciated one. The salaries are low compared to the other teams and there’s never budget for anything, including hiring new people, so it feels like there’re always interns coming and going. Also the top managers in general don’t really communicate well with the other layers of the company. It happens often that a team is working hard towards one goal and then unexpectedly and without any “warning” the CEO and top managers just announce something completely different, which can feel very frustrating. Finally, I dont think there is much transparency when it comes to salary increases for top managers.
