The CEO’s behavior is really affecting the workplace in a bad way. He’s very aggressive and offensive, shouting at people regularly. A lot of employees have left because of this, and it’s made the environment pretty toxic. Even though the team tries their best to support the company and help things run smoothly, it’s hard to succeed when the CEO has such little emotional control and struggles with emotional intelligence. HR always excuses him saying he's very busy and stressed, he has never changed his attitude nor made his apologies. He expects everyone to work more hours than the ones established, saying we're not Google. They give you a contract as a contractor/freelance.
