Pros
Great people: Splice generally attracts thoughtful, creative, and kind humans. There’s real care for music creators and each other. Flexible remote culture: The company is remote-first but still works hard to build connection with team offsites and gatherings (in places like NY). Strong mission: Empowering music creators is more than a tagline - it’s core to the way teams function and communicate (eg company values are consistently shared at biweekly company Town Hall meetings) Room to shape things: Especially in newer or growing teams, there’s a lot of space to lead, propose ideas, and have real impact. If you’re a builder, this can be exciting.
Cons
Growing pains around org design: Splice is still figuring out how cross-functional collaboration should work, particularly between product, marketing, and R&D. Lines of ownership can get fuzzy - successful operation requires leading with trust Not for coasters: If you're looking for a place to hide in the back, this probably isn't it. We need folks who are proactive and resilient
