We do expect negative reviews when things don't go well and someone is asked to resign.
In the spirit of transparency, I'm happy to put our resource churn out in the open: 23 people were hired in calendar year 2019. Of these 23, only 4 have resigned or have been asked to resign to date (25 March 2020).
Each employee in the organisation is treated based on merit and independence. There are some who are independent to a large extent, and some who require more hand-holding. Our management style is to start by giving maximum independence, and increase intervention if the results do not match expectations with respect to our product development pipeline and milestones. Micro-management could be perceived when performance is unsatisfactory - this is part of our efforts to train up the individual to match his/her responsibility.
We absolutely respect our employees - they are the backbone of our organisation. Absolutely no favours assumed. At the same time, there are times when performance is just not satisfactory and we have to ask people to leave. But as shown in the numbers above, this happens only in rare cases.
