Pros
the benefits but they really are not all that glamorous or accessible to begin with..
Cons
This job should really be hiring seasonally as opposed to part or full-time. The title is misleading. They completely slashed my hours once ski season started dwindling down. They proved to be an unreliable employer whom markets a specific work culture as chill and laid back but its dysfunctional and unorganized at best. The managers played favorites and seemed to only judge you based in a relevant short-time span once reviews came around. Also, I was trained during the peak of the season while the rest had a comfortable training session before the season even began. Im not sure if I am justified in this regard but in my opinion, this a factor in my performance as an employee there but it was not considered during my review. Furthermore, I was seemingly portrayed as a worker who only excelled at grunt work? I always prided myself in working hard but never have I ever been made to feel ashamed of my grunt work ethic at a workplace. Shameless. But apparently, we were suppose to go far and beyond just renting and waxing ski for the meager minimum wage our county had to offer. But we were well compensated in "healthy" snacks and flight miles I suppose.
