Good benefits:medical aid, reduced rates on cards, vehicle finance and home loan are included in your salary. The bank has a program that recognizes and rewards good performance.They flew me to Johannesburg to attend the National Awards for Top Performers. As a musician I won a chance to perform in a TV ad. I also performed at their In Tune Festival.Our group won the regional leg of the competition.
Cons
Toxic work environment:I was ostracized for standing up to workplace bullying.I took this up to director level. Deep racism:Non black workers would not say hello to you but then talk to you when they want something. Overworked staff.In Private Banking departments I saw people come early and leave late just to meet the sheer volume of work. No diversity at management level.When this was raised by staff manager said she only hires "based on merit".
