Pros
Plenty of overtime. 9 day fortnight. Pay is slightly better than other companies in the area.
Cons
Too much work for the few people who are approved to do it. Favouritism of certain employees by management. Training standards have slipped - little or rushed to meet targets set by management. Obsession with utilisation figures, meaning basic maintenance tasks overlooked as no time given to carry it out. Performance reviews don't achieve anything apart from more responsibilities with no extra pay. General lack of direction from management on how to progress . Divide between workshops and office staff. Bullying culture. Management mostly invisible. Morale is almost non existent. Bonus scheme benefits managers and above more than the people turning the spanners. Top down communication poor. HR department has a very high turnover. Budget expectations unrealistic with the current staff levels and equipment
