Overpay....very generous with salary and benefits. Great place for consultants to beef up resumes without much effort. A lot of good front line people who are good to work with and care.
Cons
Board of directors selected last CEO who lost around 25% of company $ money and insurance rating level. New CEO...5th company in 8 years been asked to leave a lot. Board has allowed no bid $100m + contract to new ceo's consulting buddies with little experience for double digit % over Big ten consulting firms with established practice... he is setting up for a job with consulting buddies after he moves on from state auto. Company cannot afford the hit in overpaying consultants money or lack of success due to lack of consultants experience. Lots of change going on...rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic... Company results continue to tank...company will probably be sold in next few years...massive layoffs as book of business is absorbed by buyer. In the meantime, good pay and experience for your resume as long as you are shielded from wackos in leadership.
