Pros
-Opportunity to do a lot and learn a lot - yes it's a lot of work but it was a great resume builder -Genuinely enjoyed working with my colleagues and had the chance to interact with many teams -Good perks
Cons
-Culture can be a stereotypical start up vibe where it seems like everyone's social lives revolve around colleagues -Leadership seems to legit be spiraling since q3/q4 of 2022. No actual transparency of what led to eventual mass layoff in January along with frequent one off quiet departures. -Excuse of "we're a start up" overused - it's not normal to get rid of 3 C-suite employees within a year. -From my personal experience on my team which was quite lean, I was not set up for success to grow into my role, and I didn't feel that my efforts to drive a critical function of the business until the rest of my team - including my manager was taken into account during layoffs. My manager knew just as much if not less about the subject matter of my role and the onus of driving this particular function fell to me without any real direction or support.
