      Pros

      work life balance. new technology

      Cons

      There have been significant mass layoffs (including devs, qa, managers, directors) both last year and this year due to the company's substantial financial losses. Job security is currently very uncertain. You can find multiple reports online about the recent layoffs. In India, only 5 to 6 developers remain out of an original team of 150, and the entire US team was laid off last year. Given the current situation, the company's outlook appears bleak for at least the next five years.

While it’s true that we’ve had to make some tough decisions in response to market conditions, we want to clarify that the entire U.S. team was not laid off. We continue to maintain a dedicated and capable workforce in the U.S. and globally, including developers, QA, and support teams. While Stem has gone through a period of change, we are excited and optimistic about the new direction and remain committed to building a stable and sustainable future for our employees and customers.

      I've really enjoyed the culture here at Stem. Working directly with the leadership team and HR has been an incredible experience. Their dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive culture is truly inspiring. Work-life balance is highly prioritized, with flexible policies that support employees.

      Cons

      No significant cons—just the usual growing pains of a company striving to improve, which leadership actively addresses.

      Pros

      I learned a lot about energy storage technology and got solid sales curiosity training that strengthened my fundamentals and confidence in customer conversations.

      Cons

      The pace and ambiguity could be exhausting, and the leadership style sometimes felt unreasonable and fear-based, which made it harder to do sustainable, high-quality work.
