Every department is treated differently. The manufacturing personnel are often worked long hours, receive little PTO/sick leave and are underpaid for the amount of stress and expectations that are placed on them. Some departments in office are overworked, overwhelmed, and expected to work off job description and clocked out often. Expect layoffs, sometimes several waves a year. They also keep a lot of the manufacturing personnel as temps (for years) so they do not have to pay them benefits. Corporate usually has no idea what is going on with this company and I assure you that they do not care. Corporate replaces Stemco's president like changing clothes, since 2020, they have had 3 presidents. If you ever go to HR about any of the issues going on, HR will consult the lawyers and stonewall you until you give up, get laid off or leave. The only people who are treated well at this company are the VPs and the sales force. Please be assured that the sales force (with exception of a few great men - they are all men, because of course they are) will abuse the time and energy of everyone below them. The sales force often jumps ship to competitors or customers.
