Don’t work here - Teacher Stepping Stone Employee Review

Stepping Stone was a great company to work for. Very professional approach to their work and focused on clients and their families.

There were no downsides for me.

They will hire ANYbody because they HAVE to. If you see a “decent” review, know that they (as I was) bribed into writing it.

So many I cannot count. They will work the teachers into the ground like slaves. They do NOT care about the teachers so it trickles down to the children too. They will purge the good employees to keep the worst who should not even be working with children & have anger issues. They do NOT give respect or raises unless you threaten to quit, which I (& many others) had to do over the years. They do NOT appreciate the teachers in any way that does not make them look better. They are NOT kind or caring or supportive of the teachers in any way. I was there for nearly 18 years & have worked at most of the locations & I can tell you that the problem comes straight from the main office. The schools are (more often than not) OVER-ratio (children to teachers) & only rectified when they are made aware that State inspectors are are arriving (either by the other nearby locations calling to warn them or by directors looking at who’s pulling into the parking lots). The teachers are over-worked, over-stressed, continuously & relentlessly pushed past any person’s stress point & VERY much UNDER=paid, UNDER-appreciated, UNDER-staffed & very neglected. How can any teacher who is treated like that on a continuous basis be an asset to an innocent child’s life in any way? If you love your child, please do NOT even think about slowing down your car as you drive past one of Stepping Stone’s schools. Anywhere would be a better place for any child than that “school”. Most of the teachers have hearts of gold & truly care about the children but the teachers are “abused” by the people in admin & the way the schools are run. It is NOT the teacher’s faults, they truly care with all their hearts but they are stuck (for whatever reason) working for that company. Do not get involved in that mess, just find another, any other school for your dear child/ children.
